When removal is the right call
- Rodent or pest contamination. Droppings and nesting material in insulation are a health hazard that new insulation would only bury.
- Water damage or mold. Wet insulation loses its R-value and grows problems you don't want above your bedroom.
- Degraded or compressed material. Decades-old insulation that has settled no longer performs anywhere near its rating.
- Prep for air sealing. To properly seal the gaps and cracks in your attic floor, the old material has to come out first.
Our removal process
We use commercial vacuum equipment with sealed containment, so contaminated material goes from your attic straight to disposal, not through your living room. Once the attic floor is bare, we sanitize as needed, air seal every penetration, and install fresh blown-in insulation to code.

Common questions
Will the removal make a mess in my house?
No. Our vacuum systems run through sealed hoses to equipment outside your home, keeping contaminated material fully contained.
Do I have to replace insulation right away?
We recommend it, an empty attic loses energy fast. Most projects remove, seal, and re-insulate in the same visit.
Is old insulation really a health issue?
It can be. Pest waste, mold spores, and degraded fibers can enter your living space through ceiling gaps and leaky ducts.
