When removal is the right call
- Rodent or pest contamination. Droppings and nesting material can indicate that attic conditions should be evaluated before new insulation is installed.
- Water damage or visible deterioration. An inspection can help determine whether removal is appropriate before new work begins.
- Degraded or compressed material. Decades-old insulation that has settled no longer performs anywhere near its rating.
- Prep for air sealing. To properly seal the gaps and cracks in your attic floor, the old material has to come out first.
Our removal process
We use commercial vacuum equipment and sealed containment to remove old insulation. Once the attic floor is bare, we assess the next appropriate steps for the space.
