Protecting your home long-term is easier than you may think.
Wide-spread viral outbreaks are becoming more and more common. Experts say the advancements of economic development, urbanization, and globalization has a direct correlation to the spread of infectious diseases.
Aside from basic hygiene such as frequent hand washing, the CDC is now recommending a strategy to slow the spread of outbreaks like COVID-19 through, “social distancing”, and “self-quarantining”. In other words, avoid being around large groups of people and stay home if you have symptoms.
Being at home is an easy and comfortable way to stay safe from outbreaks, and we have the technology to help you be at your best. We have designed an Indoor Air Quality package with your family’s health in mind. It will help reduce the amount of circulating allergens, bacteria, and mold to keep your family’s immune system as strong as possible throughout the year and during an outbreak.
What comes in the Home-Health package?
- HVAC Air Scrubber
- Air Duct Cleaning
- Air Duct Seal
- Home Seal

HVAC Air Scrubber
If you think you are protected from air pollution inside the comfort of your home, you are sadly mistaken. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), indoor environments are around 2-5 times as polluted as the air outdoors, and occasionally up to 100 times as polluted! The EPA has ranked indoor air pollution as one of the top 5 environmental dangers facing our planet.
An Air Scrubber is designed to fit into your existing HVAC system. It is installed directly into your forced air duct system. When your air conditioner, fan, or furnace gets turned on, air flows through the titanium dioxide-coated honeycomb matrix. When inside the matrix, the airborne contaminants pass through a strong UV germicidal light which works to disrupt the DNA of any airborne contaminants to render them useless. Once the DNA is scrambled, the active pollutants effectively die. Air filters can trap pollutants, but only air purification systems such as Air Scrubbers actually kill the contaminants and pathogens in your home.
Air Duct Cleaning
Your HVAC system is the “Lungs” of your home. Your system takes air in and breaths air out. Through normal living in a home, we generate a great deal of contaminants and air pollutants, such as dander, dust, germs, and chemicals. These contaminants are pulled into the HVAC system and re-circulated 5 to 7 times per day, on average. Over time, this re-circulation causes a build-up of contaminants in the duct work.
Dirty ductwork may be contributing to larger health issues or harboring contaminants that could cause serious problems for people with respiratory health conditions, autoimmune disorders or even compromise a healthy immune systems which can make a person more vulnerable to become infected in the event of an outbreak.
We use specialized tools to agitate and dislodge dirt in the ducts to make the dirt and other contaminants loose before we carefully vacuum them out.
Air duct sealing
Now that your ducts are clean, it’s time to seal them. Leaky ducts pull in dirty and contaminated air from the outside and circulate it throughout your entire home. By sealing your ducts, you are keeping the bad air out and the safe air in to circulate through your newly cleaned ducts. Traditional manual seals typically focus on the joints and visible holes in your ductwork. However, the overwhelming majority of the duct is hidden or virtually impossible to access for manual sealing. Aeroseal gets pulled through your entire duct system and seals holes and cracks up to 5/8″ and the smallest holes and cracks in hard to reach spaces that would otherwise go untreated by a manual sealer.
Studies comparing the two show that Aeroseal is 60% more effective and 30% less expensive than manually sealing ductwork. The bottom line is that, on average, Aeroseal effectively seals 95% or more of duct system leakage at a much lower price than manual seals.
Home seal or “envelope seal”
A home seal or envelope seal is the last and final step in securing your home. Barriers around the home tend to lose their seal over time and allow unnecessary particles and bacteria to enter the home, for example, think of the dust build up around your windows. We go around the house and seal areas that need it such as:
- Window frames
- Doors
- Pluming gaps
- Light Fixtures
- Ventilation not part of the duct work
